Buying Holiday Apartments In Israel

December 16th, 2011 Posted in Property Guides

Israel is a country that is steeped in history and religious significance; it is also a place that has had its fair share of troubles however it is fast emerging as a fantastic place in which to holiday and many people are beginning to buy property in the area before it goes down with the same syndrome has everywhere else and the price starts to rise as more people become aware of the opportunities on offer.

However, if you are considering going down this route and buying some holiday property in Israel then there are a few things to keep in mind. Firstly, if it comes with a garden then you will need to ask who the garden actually belongs to. It may be that it is a communal area shared between 2 or even 3 different apartments so be quite forthright in this regard and ensure that you know whose name it is in because there is no point in looking at Israel holiday apartments, buying one and then finding out that you don’t actually own a part of it that you thought you did.

Furthermore, if the property looks like it has had some renovation work done to it recently such as a balcony added or even another room then you must ensure that this is properly registered with the local authorities. In Israel any additions of this kind need to be registered and approved and if you buy a holiday apartment that does contain a room or even a balcony that hasn’t be inspected and have the authorities seal of approval then the chances are that you will be left in some hot water. That being said there are many beautiful places to stay and holiday in the country and it is always good to get in ahead of the crowd before prices start to rise.
