Designer Radiators

October 24th, 2011 Posted in Home and Garden

Radiators are often seen as clunky and ‘un-modern’ when it comes to designing or redesigning your home. Indeed, many of the radiators available and also the ones that have came pre-fitted when you moved in will be the standard design and may indeed appear to be out of touch with the rest of the home. However, this is not the be all and end all and there are many designer radiators out there than can really give your house an extra modern look.

The B2 grid pattern for example is a design of radiator that you are unlikely to see anywhere else. Made from steel and available in a host of different colours it doesn’t even really look like a radiator and is small enough so that it can just appear to be a work of art on the wall instead of something that is taking up lots of space. Similarly, the Riddler design also looks strikingly like a word of art – in that it comes in the shape and design of a jigsaw puzzle – and, like the B2 grid pattern one, it is relatively small and won’t take up much space and even if attention is drawn to it, this will likely be a result of its modern and innovative design rather than anything else.

However, should you wish to have a large radiator then designs such as the Acro Wall may be the answer. While, unlike the other two, this actually looks like a radiator, it is curved so the middle actually comes away from the wall itself and can help to bring a more dimensional feel to the home. It is also large but unobtrusive at the same time. Indeed, there are lots of designer radiators available that can be as big and obvious or as small and obscure as you wish.
